“Not in public.” And that’s my Supernatural quote for this post. Moving on to…

My goals and what’s going on

These are my 2010 goals:

Writing goals:

  • Finish NaNo novel “Kenna’s Choice” DONE
  • Write another novel “Playing with Darts” I’m working on it, but I’m behind schedule…
  • Edit NaNo novel Will start during the February holidays.
  • Rewrite script Hasn’t happened yet. Will start someday…
  • Plot NaNo novel for NaNo ‘10 I’ve got time.
  • Participate in NaNoWriMo ‘10 Do I even need to explain what’s going on with this goal?

Additional goals:

  • Shoot movie Will happen during the summer holidays.
  • Write 12 poems Haven’t written one this month. I’ve been wanting to though, so maybe there’ll be one on here soon.
  • Write 3 short stories Started but I’m not liking it that much…

Youtube

My best friend Rosaleen suggested that I watch Communitychannel’s videos and that she was our kind of funny. Let’s put it this way: I’d stay up ’till 2 in the morning watching her videos. (I won’t because I do have some willpower. Even if it doesn’t seem like it when it comes to certain TV shows.) So go watch her videos: http://www.youtube.com/communitychannel

Writing

I used my willpower to stop watching her videos and do some writing. Right now I’m working on chapter 7 which introduces William. So far there’s only dialogue, but that’s fine: I’ll add the stuff that goes between dialogue later.

(Also, I’m ashamed to say that because I’ve been watching Supernatural and not writing, my typing has been affected. I’d like to partially blame it on the cold that’s making my fingers numb, but mostly it’s because I’ve done almost no writing whatsoever.)

My life

Pff! Like I have one. By this, I just mean what goes on with me besides writing and TV shows and school… I was going to get my hair cut and dyed yesterday, but this is reported to Tuesday 2nd of February. And no, I’m not explaining why.

Musicals and me

If you’ve been reading my blog for some time, maybe you know that I love musicals. If not, then: I LOVE MUSICALS.

Example: The Sound of Music (which I really want to see again), Grease, Rent, Chicago, The Rocky Horror Picture Show, West Side Story.

I probably forgot some there. Anyway, I brought up this subject to say this: I love musicals, but it’s only recently that I realized how much. Isn’t it great singing along to the songs? The energy that musicals have, and the dancing! And the songs are so catchy.

*starts singing Sweet Transvestite*

Have I mentioned that Tim Curry as Dr Frank-N-Furter is so goddamn sexy? I never thought in a million years that I’d think of a guy in tights, heels, make-up and a wig as sexy, but Tim Curry made it happen with his confidence. (His smooth voice and sexy accent are major factors, too.)

And now… Something I’ve never done before!

I thinking of going to bed before 11.30 p.m.

Cue to the gasps and the laughter.

And cue me saying “Who am I kidding? It’s me for God’s sake!”

Good Kayleigh: No! You should go to bed early. You’ll be nice and rested tomorrow.

Evil Kayleigh: Ha! Remember that one time you did go to bed early? You were more tired than when you go to bed at 1 in the morning.

Normal Kayleigh: So what do I do?

GK: Oh come on, you know you want to go to your nice, warm, comfy bed and listen to music as you fall asleep…

EK: Just stay up and–

GK: Do what? She has nothing left to do but to post one last thing on her blog and then what?

EK: She can write! Go write Kayleigh, you owe it to your book. You know you do. You’ve abandoned your baby for Supernatural, but has it been crying? No. It patiently waited for your return, like a loyal friend. It had faith that you’d return to it, so don’t you go to bed now.

GK: But now it’s twenty to midnight.

K *whispers*: I think I’ll go to bed now and leave those two to their fighting…

Okay, that’s all the insanity for today. Goodbye folks!
