I’ve changed my goal from 50 000 words to 30 000. It’s more realist, besides, I might end up writing more.

At the moment the heat is making it really hard to sleep… So I haven’t been writing much. Also when I do write, some stuff doesn’t make sense.

Just sitting in a chair and typing this is making me sweat. It’s 31 degrees (Celsius) in the shade!!!! Ugh, I can’t stand this heat. In the Netherlands the heat never got this bad, 31 degrees would be the temperature in the sun at two in the afternoon! Not 6 PM (the time in France right now) in the shade!

I’m writing chapter 18 and hopefully chapter 17 (I always have a chapter ready before posting the next) will be up soon.

When I was writing chapter 13, “Answers”, I had a little block.
This is when I usually give up, but not this time.
Instead I re-typed the scene. This has proved to be practical. Because when you re-type, you’re forced to see the scene again. You notice mistakes and it allows you to fix it.
So now chapter 13 is written and I’m working on chapter 14.

I’ve re-written all thirteen chapters of “Memories”. It took me two or three days, but it’s done. I just have to finish re-writing chapter fourteen and then, done. Not writing the whole story. I’ll only be done changing it to the first person point of view.

I’ve also made a trailer for it. I’m not really good at videos, you need lots of patience and I don’t have enough.
I’ve a million ideas for “Memories” and all I need to do is to put it down on paper, or computer screen as the case may be.
I’ll paste something that really stuck with me:

Sinclair Lewis was invited to talk to some students about the writer’s craft. He stood at the head of the class and asked, “How many of you here are really serious about being writers?”
A sea of hands shot up.
Lewis then asked, “Well, why aren’t you all home writing?” And with that he walked out of the room.

And this one is really good, too:

You will find, as many writers do, that someday you will stand in front of a window and just stare. Others may ask, “What are you doing?” And you will reply with just one word.

I’ve started watching season 4 and: OMG! It’s so…unbelievably jaw-droppingly good.
I’ve learned a new word today: surfeit. It means an excessive amount of food or drinks.
My sister wants me to watch Lost with her now.
