Supernatural, “Folsom Prison Blues”, episode 19, season 2.
Dean: (receiving letter from the lawyer) Would you look at that? I’m freaking velvety smooth.
Sam: You maybe wanna open it up after, you know, you’re done slapping yourself on the back?
Because of school and homework, I haven’t posted in 6 days, and for that, if you enjoy reading my blog regularly, I apologize. The other thing I haven’t done because of school, is writing. My novels and my script have been on pause for at least a week now, but it feels like forever since I last wrote.
What prompted me to blog, is a post over at Let The Words Flow about bringing your characters to life. I read the post and left a comment and then, while reading other people’s comments, it hit me just how much I miss writing a novel.
I remembered how involved I was while writing Kenna’s Choice and I miss that so much. I miss thinking about my novel from the moment I wake up to the moment I finally fall asleep. I miss thinking about the plot, the characters and the dialogue in class, I miss having an idea in class and writing it down, and I miss waiting to get home so I could write.
The problem is, even though I finally did homework today, I’ve got a LOT more coming my way and I won’t have much free time until the next holidays… Which aren’t until the 2nd of April. I know that’s only 5 weeks of school, but there’ll be a lot essays, a lot of homework in French (because we’re about to start working on a new play) and tests (physics test coming up soon!!!).
And I’m not exactly famous for being good at managing my time. I procrastinate. A lot. And I get distracted. [Half an hour later.] Like now. I stopped writing this post to do… Something. I don’t even know what I did. Wasted time…
I think I’m gonna try to finish writing the script and editing chapter 2. Then I’ll get back to “Playing with Darts”, which really needs a new title.
