Okay, so I’m regretting the name of this blog “kayleighskaleidoscope.wordpress.com” because now it seems I’ll be using it as a blog for everything, but whatever. Moving on to something interesting.
The novel I’m working on now is titled “Playing with Darts”. I like the title and I don’t think it’ll change. I hope it won’t. Anyway, I’m so excited! I already know the ending, and why my main character M loves secondary character W. Actually, I have a big cast of characters, and most of them are main characters, so W is actually an MC.
I’ve got a lot of it plotted out and it’s going to be in 3 parts. My goal is 75 000 words, to be completed by the 31st of March, the month I turn 16. Then I’ll be editing “Kenna’s Choice”.
My summary, because I can actually explain what it’s about this time, is more or less this:
[I don’t want to reveal the characters’ names yet.]
M has been fighting vampires for the past five years, and the perfect opportunity to kill dozens of them falls right into her lap. Helping her are A, J, W, M, H and dozens more.
The head vampire is Vladislav. In her world, there is no Dracula, but Vladislav is the equivalent. In her world, the “good” vampires are very rare, and her definition of “good” is this: a good vampire only kills to feed. In her world, death is all she knows.
I just made that up on the spot, so it’s not very clear, but you get the picture.
